Hey, I’m Julia and I love dogs.

When I adopted my very first dog, Basil, in 2020 I had no idea that she would change my life forever.

Basil had been returned to the shelter multiple times, had a bite history, and was generally scared of everything. I made it my mission to learn how to be her best advocate, meet her where she was, and give her all the love that she had missed out on before I met her. During that time I discovered my passion for taking care of animals, especially those that are often left behind.

In the summer of 2024, I left my desk job to make dog walking my primary job. This finally felt like I had found what I was supposed to be doing - I met so many amazing dogs & their people and haven’t turned back!

When I lost Basil at the end of 2024 I promised her that I would do everything I could to continue to take care of dogs like her. I started No Dog Left Behind to honor her, work with animals on my own terms, and to be an advocate for all dogs.

  • "I’ve been using Julia as my dog walker for the past six months, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her! She has been such a gift to both me and my 8-year-old chow, Bear. From meeting her the first time, I knew Bear was in loving, capable hands. Rain or shine, Julia shows up with a smile and on the days Bear decides to be a little extra stubborn (as she does sometimes!), she’s incredibly patient and kind. Julia sends the sweetest updates and photos that always brighten my day and reassure me that Bear is happy, safe, and getting treats for being a good girl!! Additionally, Julia goes above and beyond. She’s helped bring in packages, and even saved my keys when I accidentally left them in the door. It’s rare to find someone so dependable, thoughtful, and genuinely caring."

  • "We are so grateful and happy to have found Julia - with no one more happy than our golden, Apollo! Julia is the most reliable and trustworthy walker and Apollo is always so excited when she arrives to take him on his afternoon walk. She has been such a life saver with our hectic schedules and I can’t thank her enough for how much love and care she shows our little guy! "
